Synopsis	After the fall of Saigon, a stranded group of US soldiers tries to make it through Cambodia to safety in Thailand. While taking refuge in an ancient abandoned temple, the men find a gold statue worth millions of dollars. They agree to hide the statue, then return to Cambodia when it is safe to do so and split the treasure. After hiding the statue, however, the lieutenant, overcome by greed, shoots his own men in order to keep it all for himself. Eight years later, the lieutenant, now a major, returns to retrieve the statue. Everything is going well until he hears about one of the soldiers he thought he killed now living as a farmer in a small Thai village. Fearing his secret will be revealed, the lieutenant must now decide how to deal with this ghost from his past. They go after the idol along with others who hope to get it including the CIA. Will they get it and how many people will change sides drunig the operation?

IMDb has the date and other information wrong. The original language was Thai and the English parts have been dubbed into Thai. I'll upload the last part in the series in a few hours. IMO these last 2 are the best ones of the 4. Gold 1 is seededhere and Gold 2 is seeded here. With all that happened in Thailand after the Vietnam war ended, I wouldn't be at all surprised if things like this actually took place. This was filmed in part in the notorious Superstar bar in Pat Pong, a known American hangout, that still has the same crowd of ex-Vietnam war guys today. Gunman, Song of Chaopraya and other films were also filmed there.
